*Shipping to California is charged 8.5% sales tax from San Francisco (Point Of Origin) *There is no delivery on weekends except UPS Next Day Air Saturday (a surcharge for Air services will be applicable to cost of shipping)
*Please note shipping time frames are accurate over 95% of the time. In the cases of residences and businesses in outlying areas (away from major metropolitan areas and airports) your delivery time may increase by a day or two. In cases where incorrect and/or incomplete address is provided indefinite delays may occur.
How shipping rates are calculated (Domestic and International):
The total weight of all the products plus the Country / State Code of the shipping address. That information is bounced off the UPS or USPS Shipping server.
Shipping Mistakes:
The customer pays for shipping in all directions unless we make the mistake of shipping you a different item from what you ordered.
Shipping to APO addresses (Army Post Offices)
For US Army personnell located in AE, AP and AA, please select United States as the "Ship To" country and NOT the country you are stationed at. This means you will pay domestic US shipping rates instead of international shipping. Your items will be shipped to a post box located either in the East Coast or the West Coast of the United States and forwarded to the country you are stationed at by the United States Postal Service.
For APO addresses, shipping via USPS (United States Postal Service) is your only choice in shipping methods. (UPS does not ship to APO addresses)

Shipping via Private carriers (UPS)
For customers located outside of the United States, when shipping via private carriers (UPS), duties and taxes can be paid up front at the time of invoicing and included in the shipping charges. Your package electronically clears customs within 2 hour of your package leaving the USA. That's the advantage in choosing private carriers. Live tracking of your package on its journey to you is emailed and also made available online.
Shipping via Post Office (USPS - United States Postal Service)
When choosing Post Office (USPS) as your carrier, your package clears customs manually upon arrival in your country. This can delay delivery indefinitely if it gets quarantined by customs (up to more than a month or more). Alternatively, it can also be delivered very quickly. No live electronic tracking is availble for USPS at this stage. The risk of shipping via USPS is when items are lost in transit, the claim may take up to a year before it is approved. The customer is also responsible for all Duties, Taxes and/or VAT (Value Added Tax) imposed by their respective countries. These taxes are not included in the total invoice from Akagiusa.com when shipping via Post Office (USPS)
HOW TO DETERMINE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS
Please follow these steps:-
1. ADD desired items to your shopping cart
2. ALL INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Fill out your customer profile completely in the next page by clicking "Proceed To Checkout". (UK Residents: Use either England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales as the country and not United Kingdom) then proceed to checkout where live shipping methods and prices can be chosen.
3. Choose a shipping method of your choice based upon price and speed of delivery. (At this point you may abandon the shopping cart and cancel your order without penalty
OR
4. Input your credit card or Paypal details and complete your order.
